  • What specific criteria must an initiative meet to qualify for this graduation bonus?
    Initiative must be on WAVE since the L0 stage. Initiative is applicable for the graduation bonus when they pass to the L4 stage.
  • Is this bonus applicable for all initiatives on WAVE?
    Yes, all initiatives, whether they generate financial impact or are enablers, are eligible for this graduation bonus.
  • Who will assess the progress of initiatives and determine when a stage gate is passed?
    If the initiative has fulfilled all the criteria, the initiative owner will seek approval with the relevant approvers on WAVE. Each stage gate will have different sets of approvers according to WAVE.
  • How will the bonus be distributed?
    The bonus is distributed at a per-initiative basis. The initiative owner gets to decide who and how much each person receives.
  • How can we decrease the risk of initiative owners giving favoritism to some members?
    Before the cash compensation is distributed, the workstream sponsor must approve of the distribution split of team members. The initiative owner and workstream sponsor must agree on the percentage given to the team members. If there are team members that are part of another division, the corresponding workstream sponsor must also sign off on the distribution.
  • Is there a maximum number of team members that would be eligible?
    No, there will be no maximum number of people that the initiative owner can distribute, but initiative owner must understand the more people the cash is being distributed, the more the bonus will be diluted for each person.
  • Will the initiative owner get a percentage as well?
    The initiative owner may only allocate maximum 20% of the total bonus to themselves. The rest must be distributed to team members.
  • What will the process be to split the cash compensation amongst team members?
    After the initiative has officially graduated to L4, the initiative owner will submit a form detailing the names and cash compensation weightage to the BU HR. The form must have the approval of the workstream sponsor already.
